Sutter Medical Group (SMG) is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Internal Medicine physician to join a growing practice serving the Amador County community in Jackson, CA. This opportunity offers exceptional flexibility—physicians may choose an outpatient-only role, include hospital work, perform procedures or focus solely on clinic-based care, based on individual interests and lifestyle preferences. Located just a short drive from El Dorado Hills, Folsom, and Sacramento, this position combines the close-knit feel of rural medicine with convenient access to a full network of specialists and tertiary resources. Sutter’s continued growth in the region provides strong infrastructure, collaboration, and optional teaching opportunities with residents for those interested in education.

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) is a vibrant and talented community committed to delivering safe, affordable and high-quality care. Our multi-specialty medical group is comprised of over 1,600 clinicians practicing in seven counties in northern California, most within a 50-mile radius of Sacramento. SMG contains primary care and specialty Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians -- nurse practitioners, physician assistants, certified nurse midwives, licensed clinical social workers and licensed marriage and family therapists, who make up about 20% of our group.
