This Privacy Policy for Beginly, Inc. (doing business as Beginly Health) (“we”, “us”, or “our”), describes how and why we might collect, store, use, or share (“process”) your personal information when you use our services (“Services”), including when you

  • Visit our website at beginlyhealth.com, or any website of ours that links to this Privacy Policy.
  • Download and use our mobile application (Beginly Health), or any other application that links to this Privacy Policy.
  • Engage with us in other related ways, including any sales, marketing, or events.

This policy applies to beginlyhealth.com and all Beginly Health-branded sites and apps.

1. Personal Information Provided by You

We only collect sensitive personal information, as defined by applicable privacy laws or the purposes allowed by law, with your consent. When you use our Services, we may collect the following information that you voluntarily provide to us:

  • Personal information to identify you professionally on our platform, such as your name, phone number, mailing address, email address, and photos when you sign up for an account.
  • Information that describes your professional and educational background: including career and employment history, education history, professional license information, volunteer activities, work related skills, and including your resume or C.V. should you choose to upload it.
  • Information about your career interests, aspirations, desired compensation and benefits, desired work location and willingness to relocate, and job search preferences, plans, and goals so that we can match you with relevant job opportunities.
  • Information relating to the other users you have engaged with on our platform and any messages you have sent, received, replied to or otherwise interacted with through our platform.
  • Information about the jobs you have engaged with positively or negatively so that we can deliver our service to you and improve your experience.
  • Information about employer organizations, their clinical locations and descriptions of the jobs they are seeking to hire prospective candidates into.
  • Information about your usage of the application, such as your search history and location data.
  • Other information you provide, including any other personal information you may elect to provide to us.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to your personal information.

2. Information Automatically Collected

We automatically collect certain technical and usage information when you visit, use, or navigate our Services. Some of this information is associated with your account; it may include:

  • Log and Usage Data: This includes your IP address, browser type, device information, settings, and details about your activity on the Services (e.g., pages visited, features used, searches, date/time stamps). It may also include system activity, error reports (crash dumps), and hardware settings.

  • Device Data: We collect details about the device you use to access the Services, such as device type, IP address (or proxy), device/application IDs, browser type, hardware model, operating system, system configuration, mobile carrier, and Internet provider.

  • Location Data: This includes your device’s location (precise or imprecise), which may be collected via GPS or other technologies based on your IP address or device settings. You can opt out by denying location access or disabling it on your device, though this may limit your use of certain features.

The Beginly Health website utilizes cookies and similar technologies that collect data for completion functionality. The use of Cookies is described in paragraph 15.

Mobile App Analytics, Diagnostics, and Session Replay. Our mobile application uses a third-party product-analytics service (PostHog) to collect in-app usage events (such as screens viewed and actions taken), diagnostic and error reports, and session replays — periodic recordings of the app's on-screen content as you use it — to help us understand usage, fix problems, and improve the experience. See the "Product Analytics and Session Replay" section below for details, including what we mask.

3. Information Collected From Other Sources

To improve our marketing, services, and records, we may collect information about you from third-party sources like public databases, marketing partners, affiliates, data providers, and social media platforms. This may include mailing addresses, job titles, email addresses, phone numbers, behavior data, IP addresses, social media profiles and URLs, and custom profiles for targeted ads and event promotions.

If you engage with us via a social media account (e.g., Facebook or LinkedIn), we may receive personal information such as your name, email, and gender. You may have the right to withdraw consent for this processing. What we can access depends on your privacy settings, and the platform's use of your data is not covered by this Privacy Notice.

We do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media or other providers. We recommend you review their privacy notices to understand how they collect, use, and share your information.

4. Google API

Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. How We Process Your Information

We process the information we collect, depending on how you interact with our Services, to:

  • Facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts;
  • To send you marketing and promotional communications;
  • To respond to user inquiries/offer support to users;
  • To request feedback;
  • To evaluate and improve the application's features and functionality.
  • Communicate with you about the application, including updates and changes.
  • To deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user, including communications with you about job matches that our team believes you will be a good fit for.
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our advertising and marketing efforts.
  • For other business purposes, such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns, and to evaluate and improve our Services, products, marketing, and your experience.

6. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to provide the application's services. We may share anonymous, aggregated data with third-party vendors, service providers, and advertisers to improve the relevance of the ads you see and our Services.

We may use your personal information for our own business purposes, such as for undertaking internal research for technological development and demonstration. We may also use anonymized information to publish reports and set industry benchmarks. This is not considered “selling” of your personal information.

Beginlyhealth.com is not responsible for your data if it is copied with your consent onto a third party's systems. We encourage you to contact any third party you may have shared your data with to request its deletion if you no longer wish them to store your data.

We also may need to share your personal information in the following situations:

  • Business Partners. We may share your information with our business partners to offer you certain products, services, or promotions.
  • Google Maps Platform APIs. Google maps uses GPS, Wi-Fi, and cell towers to estimate your location. This data helps Google Maps provide directions, but it is not always precise. We obtain and store on your device (“Cache”) your location. You may revoke your consent at any time by contacting us at the contact details provided at the end of this Privacy Policy.
  • Product analytics and session-replay provider. We share app usage events, diagnostic/error data, and session replays with our analytics provider (PostHog), which processes this information on our behalf as a service provider and stores it in the United States. We do not authorize it to use this information for its own purposes, and we do not sell this information.

7. Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information.

We protect your data by:

  • Maintaining your anonymity until you choose to share your identity with a recruiter (if you are a job seeker)
  • Hosting our services and your data under encryption protection within infrastructure provided to us by Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Although we do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and Review personal information collected by the website.
  • Amend and correct personal information collected by the website.
  • Delete a portion of personal information collected by the website.
  • Know whether or not we are processing your personal information.
  • Withdraw your consent, to the extent we are relying on your consent to process your personal information (which may be express or implied consent depending on the applicable law), at any time.
  • Opt out of marketing and promotional communications by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails we send or by contacting us at privacy@beginlyhealth.com. Such opt out does not include removal from service-related messages that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.
  • Opt out of the processing of your personal information if it is used for targeted advertising (or sharing as defined under California’s privacy law) or the sale of personal data.
  • Obtain a copy of the personal information you previously shared with us.
  • Delete your account at any time, either by logging into your account settings and terminating your account.
  • Contact us using the contact information provided.

Upon your request to terminate your account,we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms, or comply with applicable legal requirements.

Depending upon the state where you live, you may also have the following rights:

  • Right to access the categories of personal data being processed (as permitted by applicable law, including the privacy law in Minnesota);
  • Right to obtain a list of the categories of third parties to which we have disclosed personal data (as permitted by applicable law, including the privacy law in California, Delaware, and Maryland);
  • Right to obtain a list of specific third parties to which we have disclosed personal data (as permitted by applicable law, including the privacy law in Minnesota and Oregon);
  • Right to review, understand, question, and correct how personal data has been profiled (as permitted by applicable law, including the privacy law in Minnesota);
  • Right to limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal data (as permitted by applicable law, including the privacy law in California);
  • Right to opt out of the collection of sensitive data and personal data collected through the operation of a voice or facial recognition feature (as permitted by applicable law, including the privacy law in Florida)

9. How to Exercise Your Rights

Under certain US state data protection laws, you can designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may deny a request from an unauthorized agent that does not submit proof that they have been validly authorized to act on your behalf in accordance with applicable laws.

10. Request Verification

Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity to determine you are the same person about whom we have the information in our system. We will only use personal information provided in your request to verify your identity or authority to make the request. However, if we cannot verify your identity from the information already maintained by us, we may request that you provide additional information for the purposes of verifying your identity and for security or fraud-prevention purposes.

If you submit the request through an authorized agent, we may need to collect additional information to verify your identity before processing your request and the agent will need to provide a written and signed permission from you to submit such request on your behalf.

11. Appeals

Under certain US state data protection laws, if we decline to take action regarding your request, you may appeal our decision by emailing us at privacy@beginlyhealth.com. We will inform you in writing of any action taken or not taken in response to the appeal, including a written explanation of the reasons for the decisions. If your appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint to your state attorney general.

12. California "Shine The Light" Law

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us by using the contact details provided in the “Contact Us” section.

13. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended to be used by children or people under the age of 18. Our service is intended to be used by adult job seekers and we do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information.

By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18, please contact us at privacy@beginlyhealth.com.

14. Data Retention

We will keep the information you share with us for as long as you have a profile on https://www.beginlyhealth.com or a related Beginly Health-branded service such as our app, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). This includes the data you provided and any information inferred from your use of our site.

If you choose to delete your profile we reserve the right to retain anonymized information such as usage statistics and customer insights once your profile has been deleted. If you choose to delete your account, your profile will normally be removed from the site within 24 hours and we will normally delete your information from our servers within one (1) month.

15. Cookies

When you visit the Beginly Health website, you may select whether to allow the collection of data by cookies. However an essential cookie that retains your selection will remain. Your cookie selection maybe revised by you at any time.

16. Google Analytics

We may share your information with Google Analytics to track and analyze the use of the Services. The Google Analytics Advertising Features that we may use include: Remarketing with Google Analytics, Google Display Network Impressions Reporting and Google Analytics Demographics and Interests Reporting. To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across the Services, visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can opt out of Google Analytics Advertising Features through Ads Settings and Ad Settings for mobile apps. Other opt out means include http://optout.networkadvertising.org/ and http://www.networkadvertising.org/mobile-choice. All data used by AI processing is first rendered anonymous . No AI provider will have have access to personally identifiable data.

17. Product Analytics and Session Replay

Within our mobile application we use PostHog, a product-analytics and session-replay service, to understand how the app is used, diagnose errors, and improve the experience. PostHog acts as our service provider (processor) and stores data in the United States. Through PostHog we collect:

  • Usage events — for example, screens you view and in-app actions such as saving, declining, or expressing interest in a job, sending a message, or completing profile steps — associated with your account identifier.
  • Session replays — periodic recordings of the app's on-screen content while you use it, to help us improve usability and troubleshoot issues. We mask sensitive content in these recordings: the contents of your message conversations and anything you type into input fields are hidden and are not captured.
  • Diagnostic and performance data, including app error reports and console/network performance information captured during a session replay.

We do not use PostHog for advertising, and we do not sell this information. If you have questions or requests regarding analytics or session-replay data, contact us at privacy@beginlyhealth.com.

18. Intelligence-based Products

As part of our Services, we offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar technologies (collectively, “AI Tools”). These tools are designed to enhance your experience and are designed for machine learning models, predictive analysis, and data insights. All information processed using our AI Tools is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.

All data used by AI , Artificial Intelligence, is first rendered anonymous. No AI provider will have access to personally identifiable data.

19. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification email or through the application. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Revised” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
